I faced death in Chapter 4.  However, in spite of such a traumatic experience, I still had a future.  A very bright future, which I could not quite see.  This painting shows the confusion, the darkness and the light, of trauma – of life.  It is also a reminder that our worst moments give us an opportunity for survival, courage, and fortitude.  This painting is for all the survivors out there, those who made it to the other side.
