Along with my family, I faithfully attended a church down by the lake. Unfortunately, a preacher targeted me sexually, and my faith took a hit. In this highly texture painting, I used an underlayer of dyed cheesecloth to emulate fishing nets to represent my hometown of Paris, Tennessee – the catfish capital of the world. The waters were muddy, but I was eventually able to emerge from them stronger than ever.
