CHAPTER 20: Acuity

I love the word “acuity,” because it comes from the Latin word for sharp.  I was sharp, but not in a good way.  I had a “sharp elbows” approach to politics that pushed me away from my political enemies.  But we don’t really have to be enemies at all.  In this painting, I attempted to show people striving to make political “points” above all else develop an impenetrable space between them. It doesn’t have to be this way. We can unite to make a whole.
